May Seventeenth was founded on a simple belief: without vision, there would be no visual arts.
5•17 EDITIONS exists at the intersection of science, art, and purpose—bringing meaningful, collectible design into everyday life.

Founded by Dr. Sareya Khatkur, Founder & CEO, the brand is shaped by a unique perspective. As an optometrist, artist, and mother of a Retinoblastoma survivor, Dr. Khatkur’s connection to vision is both clinical and deeply personal. Her appreciation for the visual arts is grounded not only in beauty, but in the understanding of sight itself - and the importance of preserving it.
