5•17 EDITIONS : The Process

5•17 EDITIONS is a fine art x textile house translating original contemporary artwork into collectible, heirloom-quality rugs. In collaboration with contemporary artists, each work is carefully reinterpreted into textile form—creating art designed to be lived with, touched, and experienced.
Founded by Dr. Sareya Khatkur, optometrist and mother of a Retinoblastoma survivor, every edition is hand tufted using 100% New Zealand wool, hand dyed, ethically sourced, sustainable, recyclable, and released in strictly limited quantities.
A portion of proceeds supports SickKids ocular oncology teams and, for every rug sold, one pair of prescription eyeglasses is donated through Operation Eyesight Universal.
Original artwork. Careful translation to textile form. Where fine art creates meaningful impact.
